Case study · Elite Ceramics
Two books, one truth.
Elite Ceramics trades tiles on two rates at once, a cash rate and a bill rate. Their platform keeps both books in one pass, GST-correct to the rupee, and it is used for the daily books at erp.eliteceramic.in.

Station 01 · The trade
Every line has two rates.
Tiles trade runs on a cash rate and a bill rate for the same box. Generic accounting software holds one number per line, so the second book lives in heads and diaries, and dues quietly drift. The books needed to hold both, per line, per party.
Station 02 · The system
One entry, both books.
Every sale and purchase line carries its cash rate and its bill rate together. Bills track received and due amounts per book, party ledgers keep a running balance per book, and entry is keyboard-first so the operator never leaves the keypad.
Station 03 · The engine
GST correct to the rupee.
The engine computes CGST and SGST inside the state and IGST across states, apportions freight into line values, and rounds to the whole rupee the way a CA expects. All of it in exact decimals, never floating point.
Station 04 · The architecture
Many companies, many years.
One platform holds multiple companies and financial years, with opening balances carried forward between them. A React PWA installs on the desk computer, FastAPI serves it from EC2, and every push deploys itself with a nightly backup at two.
Station 05 · Still running
The daily books, daily.
Elite Ceramics closes its day in this system, at erp.eliteceramic.in, behind TLS, with automated backups and a documented restore drill. Built by Saatatya Labs, kept running by Saatatya Labs.
